Why Laying Awake Dreaming?

There's a time, a sort of creative twilight, just before I fall asleep that I experience a flood of ideas. Ideas for paintings, interior design projects, entrepreneurial ventures, and novel plots. I keep a pen and notebook at my bedside to capture them. It's when I'm laying awake dreaming that my best ideas arise.

I felt that I needed an outlet for these ideas besides my notebook pages, and that is the reason behind this blog. In addition to my own ideas and musings, I also want to share sources of inspiration from the fields of
fine art, architecture, interior design, graphic design, fashion, photography, music, film, writing, and more.

I've been working through the book "The Artist's Way" by the great Julia Cameron. It's been a tremendous catalyst for change in my life, helping me to become creatively unblocked - which is sometimes a difficult process but a very worthwhile one.
My hope is that this blog will be a lens by which to focus my creativity and the impetus to take my ideas from paper or blog post into reality, to produce something tangible that other people can enjoy and benefit from.

I hope you'll join me on this creative journey. I welcome you to comment or share links to your own artistic pursuits or discoveries. What's the point of art, or life even, if we don't share it?
